Gosford City Council Captain Cook LookoutCopacabana, NSW ARTSCAPE worked collaboratively with urban design consultancy, The Design Partnership, to realise the newly constructed Captain Cook Lookout at Copacabana. The lookout commands one of the most significant coastal vantage points between Sydney and Newcastle. |

Sydney Wharf Wharf VIII+IX Art and Interpretive SchemeSydney NSW2007-2008 Artscape was engaged to develop a strategy to guide the incorporation of public art and an historical interpretative scheme into the public boardwalk space of a residential development on Sydney Harbour. The Public Art Strategy was developed through analysis of the site’s historical context, pedestrian movement patterns, views and sightlines and public space use. Artist Braddon Snape was selected to develop a public art response that explored the notion of the boardwalk as an edge zone between water and land. TOP |

Orange City Council (in association with Andrews Neil) Survey of Culturally Significant Landscape FeaturesOrange NSW2006 A NSW Heritage Award winning project based on identification, research and database development of significant cultural features within the urban and rural landscape of Orange. Artscape worked with Andrews Neil to identify, research and to develop a web-based system for the cataloguing of significant cultural landscapes. Landcom Koala Bay Estate Public Art ProgramPort Stephens NSW2004-2009 Planning and project management of a public art program for a 254-lot Landcom residential subdivision at Port Stephens, NSW. The plan for the public art program emphasised the creation of a connection between the incoming residents and their new neighbourhood through an exploration of the local area’s history, environment and culture. Artists included Mini Heath, Charlie Trivers and John Turier. TOP |

Landcom Southern Hoxton Park Aerodrome Release AreaSydney NSW2005 Strategic planning of a large scale public art program, based on a layered history of the site, for a 690 lot residential estate in Western Sydney. The Public Art Strategy integrated placemaking principles with a multi-tiered artwork strategy that responded to the history and environment of the site. TOP |
